Step 1

Free Consultation

The first step is to come in for a free consultation so we can discuss your needs in detail, and determine all the suitable options available. There is no one size fits all approach in dentistry, and your treatment plan will be tailored to your needs.

Step 2

Implant Placement

Once you are happy with the proposed treatment and arrive for your implant placement appointment. I will apply a local anaesthetic to the area in your mouth where your having the implant/s. This will numb the area before the implant/s are inserted. A titanium post (implant) will be placed into your jaw bone, and will act as the new root of your tooth.

The implant procedure is quick and painless, and will usually take between 1-2 hours depending on your own needs. There may be a small level of discomfort from the placement but this will subside quickly and the area will start to heal.

Step 3

Biological Integration

An important part of the implant process is for the implants themselves to integrate with the jaw bone. This process will take usually around 8-12 weeks, and in a very small amount of cases, this can take longer.

When the implant has integrated with the bone, it will provide a stable and strong basis to support your new crown, bridge or denture.

Step 4

Restoring The Implant

After the biological integration, we can then start the final stage to complete your smile.

After taking molds of the position of the implants, the final ‘teeth’ can be individually designed, made and cemented or screwed into the implant. Once in place, they will look, feel and function as a natural tooth.
